Hey everybody, I recently picked up an 87 CRX si D15A3 and love it.
Decided to bring it back to life with a nice (stock) engine rebuild. My question is, what site should I buy the rebuild kit off of? Price isn't really a concern when it comes to getting a very reliable kit for my new found "Race Car" Again I want a very reliable kit and the more parts it comes with, the better. Thanks Everybody
Below I have listed some of the kits I have found, what do you think?

Hey everybody, I have been on this site for a while, reading and learning a lot from all these great guys! I purchased this 1st gen 87 CRX si that was sitting on the side of the road, I couldnt leave it alone and after haggling I took it home for $800
The day I saw it
Cleaned it up a little
New fenders and some better wheels
The REX and my Daily Beater
I know some people are against it but here is a sneak peek of the color it's going to be
O.K. on to the good stuff... Decided to do my first engine rebuild, I hope I can get some pointers on what I should do while rebuilding. My power goal.... Well I don't really have a power goal, I just want to build a strong engine but hey if I can pass a few people I wouldn't complain

Under the HOOD
The first day I got the car, here's the engine (D15A3) after making a Short Ram Intake out of some junk yard pipe
The day after Thanksgiving decided to start taking it out
Bought an engine hoist and engine stand on Black Friday for $180
IT'S OUT!!!!
Found out the head gasket was on backwards... Was that why it was overheating? Hmmm..
Yuck, what do you guys think?
WE CAN'T REMOVE THESE FLYWHEEL BOLTS!!! We have tried a big ass breaker (keeps slipping or the engine slides around) We have tried an impact gun, air ratchet, now we are soaking it over night with WD40
I think the bay is empty enough to be able to paint, you think?

Did some cleaning yesterday with Purple Power
Before
After (Still needs some more scrubbing but looks alot better)
On a side note, My Dad's new project, 1970 Ford Maverick 250 Straight 6
Ran out of gas on the freeway Thought the gas gauge was broken... Found out it's not, this thing just loves to eat gas

Decided to primer the engine bay, cleaned it up and removed the surface rust
Clean
Began sanding, lower left corner you can see where I removed the rust
First coat down
Before the final coat
I think it looks good, what color do you guys think I should go with?

Looking good, I did the same black on my CRX project and it looks great. Why yellow just out of curiousity? What is is with guys putting those hood pins on these things, my buddies had the exact same ones soo lame.
Never knew the bumble snow monster yet who turned down a pork dinner for deer meat

Oh and the hood release cable was so mangled, when I bought the car it was bungied down and flew up while I was driving, I didn't want to risk another hood pop so I just threw those on it, they are lame but a quick fix

Hey guys so I have done a few more things
Picked up some wheels
Painted the car
Haven't cleared the door yet because it was dirty so I just covered it and clear coated the rest.
You can see the small strip on the door I need to spray Black, and clean off the gas cap (kinda forgot to cover it until it was too late
Love the back of these 1st gens
And Lastly, got a header for Christmas
