I was wondering if anyone would be interested in steel crx fenders.. I have found a company willing to make a mold out of the original oem ones but my boys tells me they will cost 150 to 250 for one fender but I am not sure. I just wanna see if anyone would be interest and fitment would be 100% and if I were to do this I need perfect or close to perfect fenders and I would test fit every single one...

you worry me when you say mold so do you mean fg fenders? because like scott has asked steel fenders need to be stamped. and making the dye would be $$$

Am in. ! ! ! ! $ 150.00 - $250.00 Doesn't sound like much being that they will last longer with just wax and undercoating. Am just saying, How much were the honda plastic ones Back in the day???

The OEM ones were $256 back in the day call it about 2000.

I have an estimator chart that shows back in 1987 for lots of parts.
I'll try and find it if anybody curious.

Just a guess. I have to wonder if they would be cheaper to make on an english wheel/brake
whatever they use out of a piece of metal than paying to have tooling done.

10 years ago you could sell thousands of fenders, possibly tens of thousands.

I think now it will be hundreds :(

Ok... sounds good guys... I am try to locate some good fenders, and again fitment is 100%... I will talk to my boy, who will be able to get the hook because he has a person that does fiberglass, and plastic but metal would be so... perfect.. and when I get this going... please guys be serious because its a lot of money and $150 to $250 is the cost of the item not including shipping... when I get everything together I hope to finish by end of summer the earliest and latest by april 2013... I will inform you guess also well what is the non refundable when I get prices...

I think I have heard this about a dozen times in the last 10 years. If it's true, I am in for L & R fenders, but I am not holding my breath. But........IF you can get it done, you'll be The Man.

I wonder if many times it has just been about profit margin. I watch the same show you all watch.
It seems there are many many many people out there that could make a metal fender in an afternoon.
They just can't stamp out 300 in an afternoon.....
