finally got around to getting these up
the plates worked great , with only the egr tube plate needing the hole for the screws drilled out a little bigger.
if i fitted this plate at the end of the silver egr tube it would have fit fine, but i wanted everything possible out so i did it where it connects to the block. i just drilled out the holes for the bigger bolts. once i finished i realized i could have taken out that right angle bend and put the plate right on the engine block, but i was tired and lazy . if i ever have the engine out i will.

i read lots of your posts! i click on "new topics" every day. i'm not in the carb section anymore tho as my 1.3L blew up. no carbies for me except on my scooter!
the round plug you made is for the afterburner valve. it did something that ive forgotten LOL something about it sucking up excess fuel mixture when you let off? i dunno.
the way yours is made i would worry that if you ever DID happen to have an intake backfire (would be bad if it even happened!) your plug might pop right out and be lost forever. my block-off plates are all bolt on! i like shit to be secure even if not COMPLETELY necessary.

Kaymo , i know that if there was ever a backfire it would create some kind of pressure in the intake manifold, but because its not boosted its hardly any pressure. If you can put a rubber cap on a vac barb and never have it come off, my friction fit and silicone sealed plug will never come out. I had to use my press to get that thing in there, and it wasnt a tiny bit of pressure either, it took some actual force, probably 3-4 hundred pounds of force. Id say its never coming out. But I do love your design, i just found this easier, rather than cutting out more aluminum plate.

Hate to revive a dinosaur, but are these still available? If not, is there anyone out there still fabbing these? I;m in the market for some. I don't have access to the materials or equipment required to get these done locally at the moment.
