I can get one at pull-a-part for $25. ( If I could only find one )

Just thot I would check here first to see if someone had one they wanted to sell and we could help each other out.

If anybody has one what is a fair price?
Do you want to sell?

Thanks Jeff

At my local pull-a-part all of the d16a1 dizzies quickly get snagged. Good luck!

You are right.
I went to pull a part today and the distributor was gone.

Vacuum advance is only on the 86-87 Browntop and won't fit the Blacktop Head.

You really know you have made it far on rpr when someone quotes you in their signature. I can't wait for the day!

check for wiring earths. The engine heat bakes the plastic insulation and it breaks down and earths. Particularly where the wires go through the dissy body.Well worth the effort of pulling the dissy apart to check.

Thanks for all the help.
It was the distributor and the replacement if found at a wreaking yard fixed it.
Now my car will rev past 3200RPM and reach speeds of over 65 without going down hill.
Jeff

PS
The factory service manual was the best place to start.
The previous owner told me that a few mechanics in over a years time could not fix the problem.
Their last choice was going to be a new fuel pump.
