They were installed after fat people complained about their jelly rolls getting pinched when they were buckling up. J/K. I don't know, but only recall seeing them on the CRXs.
hahaha i like this theory the most, found it real amusing

I remember getting the recall years ago as well but ignored it.
For shits, I got a set a little awhile ago to see that they were, but never opened them. So I believe you can still get them today.

damn, i want some new seatbelts, i went to the dealership and my driver side belt is kind of frayed, but they wouldn't swap them out.. i figured i'd just wear the hell out of them some more just sit in my car one day buckling and unbuckling until something broke then swap them out, it's not like i'm doing anything illegal right, it's just regular use.......

do all Honda's have life time warranties on the seat belts and is that only good for the original owner? if they install these on the TAKATA belts how can you tell if you have them?
Oh, you don't know if it's legal?

It should say TAKATA on the back of the latch. If yours are made by NSK they do not need the guide.

Hmm.... so when my passenger side latch stopped latching i could have just taken it to the honda dealership and had it replaced?! That's great to know considering i threw that one out and replaced it with one out of, I think it was an accord but i dont honestly remember. It is way longer than the crx ones are supposed to be and its maroon instead of black lol. Lovely...
