I want to go see the movie! My brother saw it he said it was good..
I love transformers and I still have ALOT of originals at my moms house in storage..
I know I have a complete Optimus Prime and trailer with the rover that shoots out, alot of DINOBOTS,the boombox guy (I forget his name) with the tapes that turn into a jaguar and bird, starscream, and some constructobots but not complete to make the big one. and some other ones, I also have alot of tonka toys from the late 70's early 80's.
My brother still has some also, but he has the JET that all of the autobots use to ride in when they went to space still in the box!!
THE NEW ONES SUCK, I bought my son one and it took me 1 hour (literally) to transform it with the giant instructions.
the old ones you didn't even need instructions they were pretty much straight forward.

Being a little fast to judge arent you BP? I mean dang man this movies been put off for 24 years. The guys that made it said that 3 years ago it wouldnt have been possible. So what Optimus primes not a cab over. He hasnt been since the new line came out years ago.. Yes bumble bee's a camaro, but it would have taking steps backwards if the character were copies of their 20 year old models. The revision of the vehicles i think is a good thing. Really im really happy with the movie and want too go see it again. Theres even a few loose ends that keep you wondering about a sequel. There were grown men with Transformers shirts at the theater.....some of them clapped at the end. It almost perfect in a sense, dont ask me why but it is. Toys come out then 24 years after a motion picture is released. Think if they had made this film in the 80's. It would have been cheesy and star-war-z looking. Ghey....Im glad they waited.

i think there is an S2k transformer, just fyi.. a few of my friends have seen it. i think i need to see it from what they tell me.
Yes there is. Its in the Binal-Tech line from Taraka, or Alternators line if you like Hasbro, but the Takara Version is much better. I think the name of the character is Overdrive, not sure as I'm not home right now, but you can look it up at Bigbadtoystore.
Actually I in Norfolk, VA, who's free tonight?

Thank you Captain Obvious! (Sorry, the Honda Hook Up just came out a little)
I never said Barracade was a 1g CRX. I mentioned the 1g CRX in the background during the chase scene.
If there's one thing I feel more passionate about than my 3g Civic, it the Mustang, esp the 5.0 Fox Body Hatch. I'd kill myself if I was to mistake a Mustang and a Civic like that.

The CR-X was probably not a star in the movie because his fighting skills were limited due to having torsion bars and a solid-beam rear axle.
Although, he would get better gas mileage than the other bots.

Reasons I am being a stick in the mud:
Aside from Optimus none of the bots look anything like they used to or any incarnation between then and now. Starscream is the worst offender. I understand that you need to update vehicles for a number of reasons (IE VW doesn't want their product in anything violent. It would have been nice if they said that back during the 40's, but whatever) but the over-business of the robot forms is ridiculous. And don't try pulling the it-has-to-look-realistic gag without seeing what Dreamwave and IDW Comics both did with their transformers reboots, changing both the vehicle modes and adding realism to the robot forms without sacrificing anywhere near as much of the original looks of the bots.
Speaking of Starscream, how much of his contempt for Megatron shows in the movie? None. You only get ONE line from Megatron saying that Starscream failed him again. Although, considering how many lines Megatron probably gets it must be a predominant line.
Frank Welker didn't get the voice role allegedly because his voice for Megatron didn't fit the new design. If the guy who invented Megatron's voice doesn't fit your design for Megatron, I think you need to redesign your Megatron. But then again, he's only got a speaking role in the film for what, 15 minutes? So what's the point anyhow.
Original movie: about 42 speaking Transformers roles and 2 speaking humans.
This movie: Probably about 50 or more speaking humans and 13 Transformers.
You do the math on the human to Transformer ratio. Again, without Optimus being the only obviously blatant Transformer anchor this movie might be better called "Little Timmy and the Transforming Robots of Doom from Outer Space"
Story? What's that? I'm Michael Bay and I make !@# go BOOM, that's all you apparently need for a successful movie.
And at the point where you have to add a commentary about the annoyance of credit card companies and telephone operators into your action scene, well, that's where you deserve a good revoking of your artistic license.

Coming from where I'm a customer service rep for a cell phone company, that scene was pretty funny. I think me and my gf were the only two people who laughed at it though.
Anyways, I didn't like the idae of megatron not becoming the gun becasue the director didn't want to deal with the size changes, yet that one robot went from, a stereo to a big robot when transformed, to a cell phone. Size changes anyone?

I vote that car in the 2008 Calender, specifically since I'm a hardcore GT fan, and it has GT plates.

...finally saw it, thanks to a free link online.
I'd rather demolish my CRVtec and ULT1GCRX with a sledge hammer at a Niagara meet than see it again.
