ok well in the mornings its fine the rpm doesnt go low of course because its cold but as soon as its warmed up i come to stop signs ill push in the clutch and watch the rpm drop from 2000 to 500 rpms and the my engine starts stuttering and then it dies or ill drive push in the the clutch and then dead drop from 2000 rpm to 0. Gotz any solutions guys

no im going to buy a new one today and replace it tomorrow and the is another problem i am hearing a metal ticking noise comming from the engine bay and i dont know what it is but the faster i go the faster it gets

Hmmmm, that metal ticking noise could be a number of things, could be misadjusted or bent valves, a bad connecting rod.
Most likely needs a rebuild, or at least pull off the head and check out the valves.

hmm take off the head huh. i should drain the oil first huh??? i got 2 other questions how much does a rebuild cost??? and iknow i need to replace the fuel filter but um its might be a stupid question but exactly where is it located???

the faster the........ engine rpm or mph faster, makes all the differance.
one filter is in the rear wheel well and the other is under the air filter housing.
maybe a bad ground? have you messed with the carb? there is a idle adjustment screw way down below the air filter on the left. take a flash light and a looooong philips head screw driver, it's really hidden but look for the shinny metal on the set screw housing. right is raise// left is lower. look through the factory service manual in the gallery, it should answer some of your Q's.
don't try taking the head off, is a major pain and requires major tools to remove head bolts. ( breaker bar or air gun on max)
get a dizzy cap and rotor, couldn't hurt!

RPM i can kinda tell you exactly what it sounds like. Sound just like if you took 2 drum sticks but a little more metal sounding like and started smaking them together rhythmically higher the rpm goes

you just need the valves adjusted, prob!!! one good way to see what's going on is to do a compression test. this will tell ya weather or not your valves are seating properly. this would tell ya if somthing sever is wrong ( valve seats, bent valves....) take the valve cover off and see if any thing jumps out at ya, you don't need to drain the oil for this or head job. it was so loud it was embarising, had a friend adjust the valve leash and purrrrrrrrr, is that thing running? oh yes it is. running like a beast. this sound could be from a cam bearing or dizzy also, so get under the hood and try and trace down the source of that sound. at the parts store you can get a stethascope for automotive use, has metal rod that you place on motor to listen. hard to explain, but is cheap and will help ya!!

u use a air wrench to take off your head bolts? sounds a little extreme dont you think. dosnt that lead to somthing called warpage

in removal? i didn't say anything about reinstall. and hell yea, mine were freakin in there. as well if the (air wrench) is laying there hissing at ya, you would use it too!! if ya have the tools, use them. time is money!!

Taking the head off with no experience is a bad plan, especially since this is the dude's
daily driver. Taking the head off will require a new head gasket ($80CAD), and
necessary tools (torque wrench, etc). DONT DO IT. If you do decide to take the valve
cover off, make sure you have some liquid gasket or a new rubber gasket. I made this
mistake a couple years ago, when I added 20 HP by painting my valve cover blue. Yep,
Boman's a ricer. I put it back on without making sure it was completely sealed, and
sure enough, I had oil running down the front of the block onto the exhaust manifold...
It sucked and lead to further problems.

id say check the oil, when the oil is low it makes a tapign noise, what the other guys said too ;x
