I don't think ANY cams will get you much more torque out of an N/A D16A1 unless you also change a lot of other things too. They might move the peak up or down the rev range some, but the peak number won't increase much. If you want big low end torque then start swapping in the 305 out of your Camaro. (you will need at least a big crowbar and an economy size jar of vaseline for this) If you want big high end torque then start reading up on turbo kits. If you want big torque and 14's out of an N/A D16A1 then you will need 13+:1 C/R + race gas + 4/1 race header and exhaust + dual sidedrafts + hot cams + race clutch + etc, etc. All of this is IMHO of course. biggrin.gif

Cams alone won't give you any appreciable torque.
You either need more displacement or boost.

Dual sidedrafts, a header, exhaust, and hot cams in a d16a1 should easily get the car into the 14s, especially if you have a lighter chassis, such as an HF...

I THINK I'm in the upper 14's with my car. Wont know untill next wed night when I run at the track, but I was right with car that does 14.5, and I've beaten a few cars that do low 15's sooo....
I got the 228 deg cams from Gude plus a throttle body from them. I also have an intake, 4 into one header (really impressed with this, got it from S&S Headers but I definately should have gotten it jet coated), 2 1/4 exhaust, and a UR underdrive pulley.

I can't guarantee 14s, but I have a regrind cam from Delta Camchaft in Seattle that is 272 duration and .435 lift. Definately boosted the power and the price was right ($76.89). Might be a cheap way to get started towards your endeavor...
