Red Pepper Racing

This car first entered my life a few years back,
when my brother bought a minty clean black 87 crx si.

After that it got the usual d16a1 engine swap. After this the car was driven for a little while and sat for a long time.
Then, my brother bought a turbo kit off of CrxDan. He installed the kit and promptly blew the engine with too much boost (whoops where did that wastegate go?).
After this it sat for another long time and finally got a new engine, as well as a new turbo.
Around this time i was just finishing my old 87 dx/si the car sat for another long time through the winter with an oil leak.
After the winter is when i got creamed in an intersection in my old car, so i needed a new one. I bought this one and did a quick repair job on the oil line. drove it and had fun!

A few weeks ago i decided it was time to replace the head gasket, while i had the head off i completely re-ran my oil feeder line the proper (and expensive )way

I also installed my wastegate actuator (it was just held open before):


As of now the car is driven daily and runs fairly well.

what kind of turbo is that?

i am hoping too, i just have to get some more things sorted out with it, and get it tuned

sounds good. Hopefully i will get to race against you sometime this summer

good now no one can complain about another's car being more powerful than the other... it will all rely on a matter of skill... i love those kind of races...

do yo uhave any specs on that turbo? did you buy the turbo off crxdan cuz i never remember him having one like that the cold side looks bigger than the hot side

Not really fritt's Engine has been rebuilt and upgraded internals. Which I had neither the time or the money to do (or the skill)
Right now I am just riding it as it is on stock internals, on a damn old engine.
Lets just hope the engine lasts until summer

As for the turbo i really should have taken more close pics of it, im going to finish off some paint right now.
So when i get that all done I am taking some pics of the car. Ill climb under and snap a few for you.

looks good man my car is going to be solid white to but championship white our cars are going to be like twins are you boosting a browntop or a blacktop?
