Screech 31 Jul 2005
I'll keep that in mind, but first I wanna see what I can do with what I got.

Well for those that don't check up on the progress page. 2 weeks into the swap and I should be pulling the Civic's engine tonight. So far I've not had time on the weekends to work on it so the work this far has been after work for a couple hours each night, this weekend is another out of town one.
With ~8 weeks until a possible meet at Bryman's things are looking good, even though the work could be going "pear shaped" at any time.

I planned to take more when I get to the non-standard stuff. So far its just a Stock EW4 engine pull, most of the pics are just for better (more visual) reference than the FSM has. Right now my camera is out to hopefully get fixed so I can't take any pictures right now. Could be a couple weeks, but I'm not putting the work on hold just for pictures, I've got a deadline to meet!! You are welcome to stop by, just PM me for directions and a good time to stop over.

LOL. I will say I enjoyed pulling that engine during a hurricane with no power, not many people I know have done that. That page will have a lot more info later I hope. I intend to use the refund money for the timing parts I need, if I get any or to hold out for an unknown time frame. I need wedding expenses and honey-moon money this fall.

Today was all parts day. I got my rear engine mount bushings, thanks Marcus, spare tires. I also got the part for the Lincoln that I've been look for for 8 years so that I can put it back together, just wait til our Civic are 30 years old and try to find collision replacement parts.
I now own 7 BF Goodrich Scorcher T/As with the yellow tread!! I really love those tires.

Just added some pics to the last entry. As you can see the cam seals were starting to leak a little, not bad yet but would hate to see them in another 100k if I didn't replace them this time around. New water pump was already install on that pic.

Well, the PITA metal bushing is finally out of the rear Hasport mount, detail here. Now once I get the front bushings installed on the car I can drop the B20Z in. Me very happy!! That metal bushing in the rear mount really was getting me down, I was starting to think I was going to need to purchase a whole Hasport mount set just to get a rear mount that didn't have a metal bushing.
Anybody wanna buy a metal rear bushing for their Hasport mounted, non-knock sensor equiped B-series 1/3gen?
As you can see I update my website more than this thread, book mark it, check it now and then and just post comments here if you have any. One kind of comment is forbidden though, thats would be anything to the affect that I will never finish. Yes I know it is taking alot longer than I had hoped, but I have a full time job, full time family, part-time friends and karate.

More Updates. Repainted the brake booster, painting the calipers and caliper brackets, installed the hasport subframe mount, reinstalled the subframe, reinstalled the right spindle. I hope to add some new pictures this weekend.

I'm going to stick with the auto cluster, shows the correct milage for the installed engine. Later on I'll replace the fuel/temp gauge pod with one from a newer Civic Si, maybe `00, for the Si logo on the cluster. For now though I've put a strip of black electrical tape over the gear indicator and removed the gear indicator lights and circuit.

Its on!! I now go out to the garage with the intent of not returning until I have my B20Z mounted in the Si.
