Ducts kept things the same, temp wise, despite tracking being harder on brakes and temps being so much higher outside.

Sun roof is on my list as well.  I thought there was an old post that found it was 35 lbs that you save.  35 or 45 it is still in the highest point on the car.  I cut the roof off of a non sunroof car to reskin mine.

i want to do mine for a few reasons.

1) it doesn’t work any more.

2) due to headliner shape, for tracks, my helmet rubs and bumps on right hand turns.

3) weight is in a bad place.  Getting it lower and in right rear will improve balance.

And that’s 12# of unsprung weight.

#581570 Anyone Have Aero?

Makes sense.  Also with Solo2 speeds are lower so you want as much surface area as you can for the air to act on.

In too learn.  I have never run aero on mine.  Three others that I know, long time racers of 1st gens, one stock chassis and other two full tube.  They ran splitters.  They also ran on full sticks.  I could ask for a measurement.

Great progress.  Excited to see how it works out.  Seems like there is always a list of things to be done.

Is it just me or are they never done!

#581564 Some Brake Upgrades

Added some HONED Development scoops to hopefully get some extra cooling on the front brakes.  Applied new paint to the rotors so we will see what it shows after next Saturday’s track event.

Bad mounts to transfer a lot of vibration into the car.  Keep us posted!

Just some good data at the end of the video from the temp stickers and paint.  I need to pull the wheel again as I found another temp comparison chart for the paint.

Did you replace the fuel filter that’s under the hood by the wiper motor?  Also if it sat that long I would drain the gas and put fresh fuel in it too.  Sounds like a miss.

#581526 Armrest Handle Repair

Posted by CSPCRX on 04 April 2024 - 11:35 PM in 1G CRX

Good luck.  So far mine is holding up well.

biggest pains for me in the process was getting the broken part glued back into it’s proper place and staying on top of turning the bolt so it didn’t become a permanent part of the door handle.
