#184568 What Color Is The Tach Wire?

hey, all i did was hook everything up except the tach line, then i took uff the dash/ cluster cover and touched that line to each of the lines on the harness, one will make the tach move and that is the line, it made a clean setup and i hid the lines right behind the dash. hope this helps!
p.s. make sur car is on when you touch the line on the harness

wadup alex, yeah im trying to get it up and running but there are all these little things keeping me back (adapter plate, oil pan, down pipe) that i may not get it ready by the 7th!!!
right now i am making an adapter plate, it doesn't look pretty but i think it will work

still wondering about what to use if i need to move the wastegate to fit the turbo?
do you think that the ew can really push a lot of psi from the turbo any ways?
maybe it can run with out the use of the waste gate!

are you racing at rockfalls next time???

i need a plate to mate my turbo up but the machine shop said it would cost 85 bucks, does that seem right or too high?
plus my friend has a buddy that has a plate for a t3 and hf manifold for the 88 civic, would this mate my hf manifold from my 87 crx to my t3 or is the manifolds different?
PLEASE HELP, THE PLATE IS THE LAST THING MISSING FROM MY SET UP!!!!!

My set up
87 crx si d15 ( ew3)
hf manifold
blox fmu
teg injectors, ecu
t3 turbo from saab
generic bov
saab intercooler

PS. if this doesn't fit, can i remove the wastegate and install some thing else to controll the boost???????

i heard that the saab intercooler might be better then the thunderbirds!
there was an article in grassroots stating that the birds intercooler was
not eficient and and the saab flowed better!
im not sure who to believe?

i was planning on using a saab intercooler with my setup but it was damaged, now i have a intercooler from a ford thunder bird sport coupe, is this a good inter cooler and will it mount ok?
it looks like a top mounted one not side or front!
or should i just try to fix the saab intercooler?

any one installed one on and can give me tips?
it has three openings, one on top and two on the bottom... what go's where?

i have my turbo setup for my 87 crx si (d15), but the injectors...
im going to be running an fmu and bleed the map... can i turbo with the stock
injectors? what about the injectors from the 87 teg.. are they big enough?
the cheapest dsm injectors were about 100 bucks!
please advise!

can all dsm's fit-89-99?

i think you are right, its probably an older turbo... still spins nice and smooth!
its kind of faced weird but i can make it work.
does the oil line hook up with the oil pressure sender(sensor)?
there are two other oil lines that are right next to that... would it work to just "T" one of those lines?

any one know what the line from the wastegate goes to, i heard intake, manifold, or any vacume line... which one is it?

still not sure what the line is that is attached to the turbo, could this be some sort of sensor or another vacume hose?

the lines are rubber not metal... it says m4? its also connected to the cold side of the turbo.. on the actual "housing" i think.

i just bought the so called "t3" out of a sasb, but how do you know if its the t3?
i know it says garrett and airresearch... i also thought it was suppose to be water cooled, but doesn't look like it is.
does any one know what the hose that is attached to the turbo is?(not vac hose from waste gate, not any oil line, i was told its not water either?)

what is an afc? air fuel control ???
is it expensive?
and the dsm injectors, any from the turbo'd dsms(old or newer)?
im thinking of using the teg ecu and injectors... or at least the ecu, will the afc work for that set up?

how fast is your car?
was the set up pretty simple and did you buy a line kit for the oil and coolant?
is it possible to make your own lines?
do you use a fmu also or something else?

right now i have a t2 turbo from a dodge daytona, but i have a chance for a t3 turbo from a saab, which would be best for my car?
i know that the t2 will spool quicker but how about top end power?
the t3 will spool later and have top end but will my ew be able to spool the t3?
and should i use an intercooler from the saab or a mitsu one?
and lastly will the injectors from a 87 teg and its ecu fit and work well or should i get different injectors? sad.gif

just broke some stuff on my crx so cant afford the zc any more, so i decided to turbo my ew, what manifold woeks, or do i use my original one? i will be using a t2 turbo, pushing about 10-12 psi would that be ok on the ew since it has low compression anyways?

i will be ordering a brown top zc this spring, but it doesn't come with a tranny.
will any tranny from the 86-89 teg fit on this motor or does it have to be an 86-87?
also, it doesn't come with ecu, axle or hub/knickles, will the teg parts all fit ok?
its going to cost about $690 +shipping, does that seem right ?
if all fits, ill be cruising by the end of april!
any help ...any one... biggrin.gif

rolleyes.gif just got my turbo and manifold setup, its a t2 turbo from a dodge daytona with about 80,000 miles on it. I am using a hf manifold with a plate.
before i start on hooking it up, i need advise on fuel management.
would using bigger injectors and a fuel pressure regulator be enough
to keep it safe?
do i need some other things like a fuel management system or modified computer?
it will be a daily driver and weekend dragster!

also, would i need a new fuel pump or larger fuel rail?

please help

i have a chance to buy a 87 integra with 84,000 miles for 300-600 bucks, only thing is that it is an automatic!
are the engines the same and would every thing hook up the same?
would i have to find a new axle for the tranny side once i get a manual tranny?
any one done this before?

would the brakes and everyhting hook up also?
ive heard that its better to get one that came maual to begin with, something about autos not willing to rev fast??? any help would greatly be appreciated!!!
