Just curious why you are considering selling the wagon if you have a young family? I know the CRX is possibly more of a "fun" car, but I have a daily driver in case I have to haul the kids around. After all the work you put into the wagon, maybe wait until the market rebounds and sell the CRX instead since you can't haul as much cargo or kidlings in it. You might make a pretty penny selling it rather than the wagon. Just saying, from someone with kids and a CRX. The CRX is pretty worthless for anything other than meets, and grocery store runs.

Chris, your comments certainly make since. We currently have three cars. Our third is an '03 Xterra. Airbags...modern laugh.gif

Since we are blessed with a modern family car, and we are both very concerned about the safety of the wagon for our little one, we only use the Xterra for family outings. Sadly, my wife hardly ever rides in the wagon or the 1G. We have gone out to dinner a few times in my "RPR cars", and even took a road trip in the CRX this summer. No A/C though. It was rough for her. Chicks like comfort and moden-ness. laugh.gif

Thus, I am actually going to be switching up the interior a bit on the CRX this summer. During that process, I plan on taking out the passenger seat as I rarely use it. I want the car to have practical functionlaity for me as a daily, and be comfortable for ME in the interior, but still be fairly "race-ready" for when I hit the track.

The CRX definitely serves it's purpose well for me. It gets me to and from work each day. 5 mile drive one-way. Basic rides around our small city. 30-35 mpg (depending on my 'mood'). Ton's of fun. Like any 1G owner, I do worry about the plastics. That's about it.

As for the wagon, I will not drop my pants on it. I'll either sell it, or keep it until the right buyer comes along. I have come to the conclusion that I will not get for it what I originally wanted though. But, I've learned so much from that project that it was certainly worth the time and money invested. The wagon still has a lot of room for growth: swap, custom fabbed suspension work (would be SWEET to see someone slam that bad-boy on some sick OG 13's or something...). So, I'm hoping a new owner with the skillz comes along!

I'll definitely miss it though. But hey, can't take it to heaven...

If I hadn't already picked up a 4wd wagon, I'd steal all the money needed to buy this one. Right now funds are dry.

Back from the dead!

New owner (and RPR member) Chase took ownership of the wagon from an NC seller about 6 months ago, and has really been taking great care of the car. Found these pics on a CarolinaHonda's thread last night, and thought I'd share them here. Wagon looks awesome. Great job Chase!

Ha, no, it's a stock DX engine. I got a valve cover from an 85 Si for the looks. I now have the DX cover on my CRX, as I wanted a smooth surface for all of the stickers.

Definitely was a cool car, glad it has an awesome new owner too. Man, that swap WOULD be insane!

In his thread he states "JDM headlights, JDM corner lights, JDM side markers". Are the side markers not EDM? I thought that was the only market with the side markers due to EU laws. In JDM land I was under the impression the bump in the corners were acceptable "side marking".

Damn near had me a RT4WD 1st gen wagon a week ago near my home, too bad after avoiding 3 of my emails, the slimeball sold it to some young punk around the corner from him after I pleaded with him to seel it to someone who would not wreck it..... It was a low mileage and in nice shape too.... A rarity in Canada.
