Got a little work done today. I got EA_Hatch's old no-reach installed and boy oh BOY do you notice that shift linkage slop with that thing in there? blink.gif Its terrible! Once in gear there is like over 5 inches of left to right play still in there. I do NOT like it. Guess I'll have to do the steering linkage upgrade I've seen on here sometime soon. (shrugs)

Still looks tizzight and feels great. The reach is perfect!

So... tall... blink.gif

Also got one of the fenders sanded up and spray bombed. Keep in mind now that this is only my temporary/almost free solution to having a one color car. So don't go hatin' on the spray paint yo! huh.gif

Did discover one small crack in the other fender that is being repaired now. Fiberglass backing and "black mammy" in the exterior into a groove I cut with a grinder. Sand it down, prime, block, and paint soon to follow.

Thats all!

Been getting some work done. I got the other fender painted, but forgot to take a pic. laugh.gif Then I finished running the battery cable all the way to the power post, then ran another cable to the starter. I also ran a new fused wire for the hazzard lights to the power post, and then began running the post power to the fuse block. I forgot to take photos of all of this, but I'll get some up later. I was too excited taking photos of the car and its electrical bits actually being powered by its own battery for the first time in two years!! laugh.gif

I do have one concern however... I can only get one headlight to fire up... dry.gif What's up with that? lol I also cant get the blinker to work or the flashers to flash... lol Anybody got any tips? Either way, here are the few photos I snapped.

HID's tongue.gif

Halogen

Tail lights, gauge cluster, and Radio... kinda forgot how good it sounds! wink.gif

That's all for now! I'm excited guys!!

I'M ALMOST DONE!!! laugh.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Might only be able to help with the flashers. I believe they are on their own power circuit to the switch on the top of the steering column. The hazard fuse is located on the battery so that it works without the ignition being on. You said you ran the wire for that circuit but hopefully you have it connected properly. If that isn't the issue then maybe it's something to do with the combo switch itself or the flasher unit may be faulty.

It looks like you are getting power to the rear lamps and the fender lights but not to the bumper lights. I just scrolled through all the pages quickly and there is not much information on your wiring other than you did a tuck, engine harness, battery reposition and your HID's. So the question to ask is: was everything working before the tuck? If so, then you have a wiring issue and you ned to test all the necessary circuits to find out the issues. JS

If you want one of these Logos send me a PM

I know I got the flashers hooked up correctly... but I'm not really worried about those. I can fix them later. I actually have NOT done the tuck just yet, so none of the wiring has changed on for the chassis stuff. Only the engine harness has changed... (wonder if I boogered up something under the dash during my hacking away at stuff... blink.gif lol I'll figure it out. I figure, after the jump to OBD-1; wiring the headlights and blinkers back up should be no big deal! Oh yeah, it should be noted that the bumper lights work... It just wasn't hooked up at the time the photo was taken.

Great having a supporting girl huh? Love it... biggrin.gif The cluster? nah.. just a good ole' USDM 120 MPH cluster. The only difference is it DOES have a carbon fiber overlay on the face around the cluster number faces. I'll get a better photo of it later in daylight to show you. Its going away, however, as I now have a 140MPH cluster that will probably not be using the carbon fiber.

The clear bumper turn signal lights come from some sorta Toyota or Nissan Truck i cant remember which, if you look on ebay you'll probably find them right away.

Thanks for the love guys. I got the bumper lights off ebay years ago... But I do understand (like Devion) that they are the same as an 80's model Toyota truck I believe.

I got the headlights working btw... the blinkers too... tongue.gif

But now................. I'm trying to start the car. dry.gif Aint workin' out for me thus far.

Got a few questions for you guys. I'm getting spark... but only on Cyl. 1-3??? The dizzy is brand new, never used. However, the spark I appear to be getting seems so weak. Like, I can barely see it arc with brand new spark plugs. The fuel pump seems to be priming weak too... the battery is fully charged. And its brand new too. The injectors are getting power through the resistor box. Now how can I tell if the injectors are actually pulsing short of pulling off the fuel rail and see if fuel shoots out... blink.gif lol

Check wiring/grounds on the fuel pump.

Short of OBD scanners (don't know if that's applicable in this case), you ought to be able to put a volt meter on the injectors, and see if they're getting power.

Either buy a noid light(very handy tool) or just put your volt meter on the plug and turn it over.
