Materials: flat black(engine/heat)spray paint painters masking tape oven flat screwdriver oven mitt or towel razor blade Steps: 1. make sure the headlight is alone, meaning the bracket has been removed. remove the clips and all other little things. just the BARE headlight. 2. pre-heat the oven to 230° F. 3. once the oven reaches the temperature, stick the headlight inside, with the glass facing the grill. you can leave it in there for about 3-5 minutes. ** when you`re going to take it out, make sure you have an oven mitt or a towel. IT WILL BE HOT!** 4. using a flat head screwdriver, start prying the glass from the housing. 5. with a razor blade, cut the glue that`s stretching across from the glass to the housing, if nothing.....stick it back in the oven 3-5 mins. (IT MAY TAKE 3-4 TIMES TO STICK IN THE OVEN) 6. now that its open, and cool... you can go ahead and clean the glass and the housing... good time to remove any crap inside the headlights( if you wish to remove the square that goes in front of the beam....get some wirecutters and snip them off......for better lighting). 7. tape the \"lighting\" part of the housing, making sure its done RIGHT!! use the razor blade if needed to cut the excess at the edges. 8. in a ventilated area, start applying the flat black paint. do not over do it because you`ll leave drip marks (not cool). 9. give several coats. when its all done and dry, you can place the glass against the housing. push em together... and stick them inside the oven again at 230° F. this is to seal the headlights. 10. when it comes out. again. its going to be hot! wear mitts or use a towel. push them together and hold them shut for a few minutes. 11. after it cools down, you can attach the bracket... and all necessary misc hardware. and re-install onto the car. 12. you`re gonna have to re-adjust your headlights since its going to aim like shit. wait for the sun to go down. 13. VOILA! done. step back, take a look at your project and give urself a pat on the back... if it came out like crap... it`s your fault meng! Instead of just heating the glue to close them and seal them, you can also use clear silicone sealant. mine dont get condensation or anything and i just heated them back up and close them shut. remember this involves time and patience......... good luck on your project!

  • Edit* Before prying the glass from the housing you should check to see if there are three little screws along the edges, after repeatedly placing the headlight in the oven tighten these screws little by little and they should push the glass off of the housing. Don't forget to pull the screws out a little when you are done painting.
