Wow,
I would love to have a unit to do the same to my CRX,

Can't wait to see the finished article.

Good job!

Salut et bonne chance ca fait plaisir smile.gif

Keep up the good work! I've overhauled my front drivetrain recently but I still have a lot to do on mine yet. (planning to strip it too to completely remove any rusted spot).
If you ever need a plastic part, such as fender or door trim, I know someone in France who may be able to supply them starting this summer. That's where Im gonna get the ones I need at least wink.gif

I'm not sure about the material. here's my mate's topic. Ask him for infos if you want. I know he's crawling under the work, but he'll definitely do them once he has some time. smile.gif

actual work:
getting informations about brake-upgrades.

think i`ll go for the ED9 brake in the front with EBC GD403 sport discs and redstuff DP3706C.

rear: ... EBC 6350

but! .... i`m still waiting for the answer from brembo before i decide.

what do you think about that? the ED9 brake would fit without modifications, the brake discs are the same .... but not the pads.
there are much more different and better brake pads than for the 1986 CRX AS. that`s why i`m thinkin about switching to that brake in the front.

what do you think? any other idea?

also ..... any ideas where i can still find a DC short shifter for my CRX?

Did you reuse the old wheel hubs components or got new ones ?

Why taking RedStuff? Track use? I personnaly got the GreenStuff pads, at least I think that's enough for a street use.
One thing I've had a problem with is my disc touching the lower arm ball joint when I steer. It happens eventually, not to many ppl but it happened to me & a few RPR members.

Very nice going so far, I'm still surprised that all your parts, even interiors' & such are just like coming out of the factory. Not even a mark on anything blink.gif

i reused the old wheel hubs ... sand blasted, epoxy primered and painted.

i will use the car on road and track. that`s why i wanted the RedStuff. i also think it`s better for downhill on alpine passes rolleyes.gif
the disc touches the lower arm ball joint? uh, why that? all stock parts used on the car?

my CRX was in good condition. relatively low mileage (about 90`000 km) and of course it takes a looot of work until all the parts are in that "out of factory look" cool.gif

Yes, all stock parts. Happened to me just now, but then again, it's quite rare. I'm not sure yet how to explain it, but I may have answers this week-end.

Your fuel tank looks completely different that the US fuel tanks... Is that because of the back seat?

No rear seats in the the North American version. I can't believe the UK ones do! I can reach the back tire from the drivers seat with the door closed, where do you put a seat between that!
