i thought about you OG when i read this. you still want to chop that thing up? we could slice the window and trim out leaving the metal so we dont mess it up trying to remove it

I've got most of the stuff you need but shipping will be a bit more from Canada than the US plus possible customs duty. I have an Si tank. Rear quarter glass removed from car but no trim. I have a CRX booster. Window sill trim in good shape is near to impossible to find. I may have one but don't know how good it is. You do mean the part that sits on the door and has the rubber that the window rubs against? It would be a fairly large box with the tank and glass so it doesn't break. let me know if you are interested. Send me an email (in my profile section) and I can take pictures of what I have and send them to you first. What's this stuff worth to you? JS

This is a WTB thread but here goes anyway. It's a lot of hard work to remove the rear quarters. I tried the piano wire bit and gave up as it was a grind. I cut out as much of the black stuff with an Olfa knife razor blade. Kind of like a V groove. Then I carefully used a head gun to soften the material up and then slowly pried it off with a metal spatula starting from the back end. Just be careful you don't pry too hard and crack the glass.

I would try the heat gun method with the trim as well but here you have to be very cognizant not to over heat the strip or you will melt it as well as the goop holding it. They tend to be a bit brittle but the heat softens everything up enough to slowly pull it out of it's resting place. That's all I can advise on this issue. JS
