Just wondering what's on the front of the bumper there?
How about we just agree to respect each other's opinion?Even though yours is so obviously wrong...

It looks like a tow bar. They probably pulled it behind an RV.
It'll work.............Trust me

Looks nice. Isn't it rare for a Straman to be an Si?
Hmmm. Wasn't planning on visiting my folks in Massachusetts over Christmas...but maybe...

It is a bit rare for Straman's to be an Si (I would guess 20% at most). The main reason was that one of the big reasons for many buyers to pony up for the Si was for the sunroof. You really had to want the other Si features on your Straman for you to order the Si, only for them to cut off and throw away the roof with that fancy and expensive sunroof. That's why you see a lot more middle-line CRX Stramans (and a few high-MPG HF models)
With most other coach conversion convertibles I see (other makes and models), they are usually built on the top-of-the-line version of the car. But when one of the main features of the top-line car is a sunroof, that isn't always the case.

It also looks to have the elusive Straman badge on the lower front fender, I wish I had those on at least one of my Straman's.
I personally wanted a Straman Si for all the other goodies, front and rear bumpers and side skirts, center console and other upgraded bits here and there. Plus I had never seen an Si Straman so I bought the first one I saw, other then the one I saw in a TV show in the 90's.

I would have loved to have an Si just for the fuel injected engine. But when there are only 310 made over the three years, you can't be picky. I wish the R. Straman Co. was still around with records for our cars. With the early VIN number on my '84, I really would like to know if my car was one of the very early ones converted.

That would be nice to find out, one of our members(Indyman) tracked down the original owner of his Straman. The mans son worked at Straman coachworks back when they converted these cars as a salesman or in marketing or something. He is trying to track down some info from him, I'll have to contact him and get an update on it. I think that would be our closest shot at obtaining any info about these cars but I dought we will find any detailed info.
