This is prolly a dumb question and its prolly been asked before but i cant find it anywhere

Is it possible to put coils on the front of an 84-87 crx, Like an integ conversion or something? Has anyone done it?? unsure.gif

gtpilot has it on his roadrace car....

Tbars are easy as hell to work on.... and there always adjustable....

I think its more of a hassle then its worth for a STREET car... for a race car like gtpilots its more doable.

gt pilots is running very high spring rates that orsion bars cant produce... this is nto an easy swap nor pratical for anything but a race car

Yeah, like the other guys said, it's not worth it. You woulnd't get any gains, and unless you went to adjustable coilovers (which the Integra springs aren't), you would lose your adjustability option.

You should look into getting some thicker torsion bars (if you haven't already) if you want a stiffer front suspension.

And remember, no question is a dumb question. Unless you ask who makes the Civic or CRX...... rolleyes.gif

There are definite gains to be made, but it is a bit of a challenge to do it. You can lower the car and make it adjustable, choose any spring rate and have correct suspension geometry (which you do not have when you just lower the stock suspension) from converting the car. You have to be able to fab parts and take you car out of commision a while too.

True, I run high spring rates - but the wheel rate is not that far off the 27mm to 29mm torsion bars that some people run on the streets. Take a look here and you can see a finished product - Performance Machine Works, LTD. - Gallery .

I assume you asked due to lowering capability questions. There are a few "mods" you could do to allow for longer shock travel when you lower the t-bars to maximum, allowing a more comfortable ride; changing the t-bars one spline over and shaving the brake cable mount on the shocks. - There is a write up on both proceedures somewhere here.
