Drivers test mid February.   He's doing so well on the stick, he's taking the test in the CRX!   I set the test up way, way north of town.  Like almost Oklahoma.  Out in the county.  I'm sure theres quite a few sticks back in those woods.

He passed my "winter weather" version of the test.    Took advantage of this winter storm to get some parking lot fun.   He's hooked.  Signed up an RPR account last night.  Pending Toms approval.  His avatar: "Skipps"

He passed his test!! In my CRX! Instructor said he’s only done 6 manual xmission drive tests in 10 yrs. said it’s less than .1% of cars used for test. Proud of him!

of course parallel parking was a breeze

my beater is truly a dd now. skipps had been driving it to school everyday. now to his summer job and to friends houses.... its not home for me to hop in for my occasional joy rides and trips to stores

got my state inspection last week. the young guy popped the hood, the put both hands on the header as he looked over the engine. i showed him the cracks i glued together on the fenders and header, asked him not to do that. explained uv weakening the plastics.. he got a bit testy w me.... oh well

Its a Maaco paint job I had done in 1997.  Now w 150K worth of road rash, stone chips...  Its been holding up pretty well.  Pix always look better from a distance.
