meh, I'd rather get an old GC8 impreza and swap in 99-01 RS body and wrx/sti drivetrain, thats sleeper enough for me and a lot cooler!

I would go with a first gen miata also. I had a white 95 which I believe is the best year ever made.
From my experience, the miata is a blast to drive because of the way it can rail turns( ran from a cop on a curvy mountain road). tongue.gif But those days are over........ In my honest opinion a miata with some good springs, shocks, sways will take a rex thru the turns anyday.

But why would u want to ditch a 1st gener rex, they are great cars and one of the only cars that I myself would compare to the miata R.I.P.
starting with a can

miata is a pretty bad little 2 seater IMO. anything that weighs that little(little more than a 2g right?) and have SBC/SBF swap kits readily available for cheap, IS MY FRIEND- I WANNA SWAPPED MIATA!

I like this idea. Cheaper than the Monster Miata V8 swap.

Miata- $1-6000
kit - $300(ish dont remember cost)
good sbc&t5 - $1000
odds and ends - $500-1000

~$2800 to $8300

+$2000 of fun goodies purchased over time since practicly it could be a DD/project car... thats my understanding,

Little off topic but I just checked out the Acura RDX while out cruising and I must say it is very nicely styled once you get up close in person, subtle curves in the right spots and the reflectors in the rear bumper is a nice touch. However I was dissapointed when I saw that this little turbo 4 banger was getting under 30 mpg on the highway, 23mpg the same as the MDX which is bigger heavier and has a v6 with a bit more power as we all know.
