The time will come when I have to give up the rex.
The things I most enjoy about my CRX are these:
fuel economy - 42mpg
steering - really pretty good
braking - fair, would be great with mods of course
hatchie - just love the hatch and the look
bucket seats - great
manual tranny - can't stand autos
power - sporty feel with manual tranny
looks - I love the looks
size - compact is great
reliability - unparalleled, Honda is the best
price - cheap
Is there any modern car that fits all of these criteria? What I want to know is what modern car most closely approximates the CRX.
If you had to give up your REX and couldn't have another, what modern car would you choose?
I'm really interested to hear this because I will be in the market soon. Is there such a thing as a sporty but fuel efficient car that feels like the rex?

personally i think there is no replacement to a first gen rex...why sell it when you know you will just buy another one down the road.. LOL.. trust me everytime i sold one, another ended up in my driveway!!!well i would just go second gen crx..or if you want a convertible maybe a mazda miata..or if you want back seats just get a 1992-up hatchback..those are just my opinions though..

Ford Festiva, or the XB, Aveo, Or Arieo (Suzuki makes one Chevy makes the other) Oh, yeah the Metro.
Honda, because it's hard to look baller in your mom's Volvo.
The entire tool selection at Sears or the contents of a Snap-On truck will do you no good if you do not know how to use them.

I think the Mini, though a little, nimble car doesn't compare to the CRX...especially
from a reliability standpoint --> Lets not forget the Mini is powered by the Euro
spec Neon motor..lol.
Miata is a damn good comparison...but then again, lacks in the "hatchback"/cargo
category. Has anyone actually seen a trunk on a Miata??
Out of everything that I've driven for more than a day, I must say an Acura RSX
typeS is your contender...What a car!! Awesome on gas, a hatchback, silky smooth
6spd, TONNES OF HIGH REVING POWER..lol, looks hot, small , nimble, safe..etc.
So that's what I would say ---> RSX-S is the "modern car" CRX.

I was going to say the honda s2000 but I think its a little bit too big
I dont really like the rsx-s. I'd rather throw money into my crx than buy a new car.

I heard a rumor - probably untrue - that the RSX was supposed to be the new CRX & ended up being too expensive so they badged it as an Acura & sold it as the RSX...
What does RSX stand for anyway?

yeah...but if you remember the cheap clause...NOTHING...
There are 3 goals when modding a car.
Cheap, Reliable, and Fast.
Now the down side. You only get to pick 2...
Fact: A recent study shows that 92% of all teenagers have turned Emo.
Put this in your sig if you're one of the 8% who stayed gangster as $h!t.

the RSX is the fourth generation integra.
i don't know what RSX stands for i think it just like CRX or NSX or TSX. they don't mean anything.

The artist sketch of the RSX concept was mistaken to be the 2002 CRX..lol..so
maybe that's where you vaguely remember the rumour. As mentioned above
the RSX is the 4gen Integra -- In JDM land it's still a Honda Integra.
Too bad they're dropping the RSX line for 06!!! They think the Civic Si will take
over that demographic!
No CRX in the future for Honda for sure... I asked the VP of Canada ---> He said
what about the Jazz/Fit?...lol
