I've had Dish for 6 months now. Dual dvr/tuner. No problems whatsoever.

IMO all these suuper large telecommunications companies are full of clood sucking SOB's and their evil ways trickle down even to their lower level employees... I think they specificly scout tool bags to do their work...

I still have not had a problem with Dishnetwork. Been a customer for 5-6 years now. But I setup my own dish and run my own lines. Techs are idiots everywhere I go. Only time I didn't do the inital dishset up was with the new Dishpro dish we got after buying the house, I just told the guy where to stick it and let him do the labor of digging the hole and cementing the pole in. laugh.gif After he left I checked the power levels on the receiver and went and adjusted the dish to improve them. Only time I've really loss TV is during a hurricane.

The worst part is i just bought a new tv and im ready to upgrade to HD programming (and i want a DVR too). However, i dont want to upgrade till i get reliable service.

It's not so much an equipment problem (we know what needs fixed), it's the customer service.

FWIW, my parents have had direcTV for something like a decade with no problems.

lol foreign sounding csr sounds like the el paso call center ( just incase your wondering all dishnetwork call centers are located in the US but... the el paso one is almost in another country (~1 mile))

if you want to know the history on your reciever just get me the caid number

and if you have a reveiver the sucks chance's are it the receiver's fault

on a side note bellexpressvu SUCKS... stupid watchdog errors...

and a tip for all request a new reciever and stay away from 301s, 311s, 2700s, 3700s,
3900s, 4900s and i should stop there

though if anyone is a dishnetwork/bell expressvu/whatever else echostar happens to own and you want to know the history of your reciever just get me the caid number and a couple of days and i'll tell you

edit: i forgot to mention that dish network sucks.....

it sucks major a**
