hey, scott. i can tow it, i guess. hehehee. but i'll need some money for gas!

i understand, i still have my storage area if some people are interested in doing this

i say we go for it, still no bids right now. there are still 4 days left though.

whom will be the one to make the bids? someone that can pick it up, or he whom it will be staying with?

just thinking that if we are going to do this we need to decide before the last minute.

you guys are lucky that gas prices are soo high, I would drive down from NY to pick that baby up. I would be down for a copy of the rear bumper, is the front any different?

smashfascism,
Just curious what kind of rear bumper that is in your picture? Is there a place that still does anything for a 1G? JS

If you want one of these Logos send me a PM

I am going to bid on it. I Want to have the body kit copied, sell the rear center panel, fix up the car to running condition and use it for work, since I drive 100+ miles a day. Ouch.

Call me crazy, but I think I see side skirts too....

I think this is the same bumper as on the J's car what we all love!

I was thinking the same thing. huh.gif Bryman, do you know if side skirts were part of the aero package? I really hope an RPR member wins this and copies are made of the aero kit. biggrin.gif

It does look like the J's car:

Yes.
According to the 1985 Honda CRX accessories brochure, the complete AERO kit was the front and rear bumper covers, as well as (subtle) side skirts.

The J's car appears to have the AERO kit (OK, I guess I've seen 3 cars w/ them now...haha) AND the lower lip spoiler.
Sweet.

bryman<----damn glad RPR is back up!

Well, if a bidding war doesn't start up, and I can get it cheap, hopefully you all can get replicas cheap. If the guy responds to me.

That would be dumb, since we are all the only ones who would want it.

I highly doubt a repo kit would run more than $420 for everything, plus shipping.

I bid on it, and Wilq is willing to help me pick it up. How would I get these things to you, as in like finding boxes to fit them? You want the front lip, rear apron, and side skirts? Wish me luck!

I guess you will want to get some big boxes...it is not going to be inexpensive....But sometimes you can go to some local businesses like dealerships and body shops where they have packaging for body panels that they just throw away! Or just go to a mailing store and pay out the ass. Either way works....we can try to work out something....

I wonder if Honda still stocks the Aero kit?

Does anyone know if it was USDM only and any scans of the aero kit in brochure?

I would SERIOUSLY doubt that Honda would have any kits left. Even if they did, it would probably cost a kidney, testicle and your first born.

I have the brochure that has the pics, but my scanner is not working sad.gif

nope. I work at a honda dealership and there are basically no accesory items available for our cars. you can't get stock si floor mats, red crx center tail pieces or any other cool item from them anymore. I couldn't even get the rear compartment lid/carpet assembly when my car got broken into.
