Removed surface rust from sunroof:

I am working on this outside and need to water proof the bare metal before using sand-able filler primer. This grey primer I use is the best water proof bare metal primer I could find.

I found original CRX unbroken front fenders on a car from northern Michigan ( Honda replacements ). I plan to paint the top part of these Black burn black metallic and leave the grey part alone.
Here is what they look like now:

Notice how the header panel and A pillars line up great with these original factory parts?

Smart move working with the fender on the car. It would stink to get that thing all prepped up/painted off the car, and then crack it in the reassembly process. Nice grab on those! They look great. Cool build, I'll be following along!

I did go to all the trouble taking the fenders off first because I would hate to do all the prep for paint work on these and break them taking them off to put on the other CRX that I am geting ready to paint. Yes I think the best place to work on these is on the car.

Today I was killing bacteria and removing stubborn rust stains with the works disinfectant.
I used paper towels and a spray bottle to keep the area wet until all the rust was gone. this stuff doesn't seem to hurt the paint at all:

fuel opening rust:

then water proof grey primer:

Took about 2-3 hours.

I have a hood that has some smal dents in it that I need to take care of. I know these hoods flex alot and I don't want the filler to crack. So what kind of filler did you use? What size tip did you use to lay down the primer with and what brand of primer do you use. I will be starting the body work on my CRX within a month or so. I need all the help that I can get, lol!
