i just bought the so called "t3" out of a sasb, but how do you know if its the t3?
i know it says garrett and airresearch... i also thought it was suppose to be water cooled, but doesn't look like it is.
does any one know what the hose that is attached to the turbo is?(not vac hose from waste gate, not any oil line, i was told its not water either?)

Check for the #'s .42 on the cold side and .48 on the hot side the lines are they rubber or metal?
There can only be 4 ones, water inlet/outlet and oil inlet/outlet.

i think you are right, its probably an older turbo... still spins nice and smooth!
its kind of faced weird but i can make it work.
does the oil line hook up with the oil pressure sender(sensor)?
there are two other oil lines that are right next to that... would it work to just "T" one of those lines?

any one know what the line from the wastegate goes to, i heard intake, manifold, or any vacume line... which one is it?

still not sure what the line is that is attached to the turbo, could this be some sort of sensor or another vacume hose?

humm, well usually the wastegate is attached to a vacume line on the turbo compressor wheel. On the center carterage you should only have two lines. That is if its oil only.
