I could never get the whole IRC thing to work for me. Isn't there a simpler way to hava a chat? Another forum I belong to has a Shout Box:

Nothing to download, just log onto the site and chat away. Seems simple. I know at work, I cannot download thing to our computers. I'd love to chat when I am up early in the morning and am bored.

Pretty sure there is a shoutbox mod available. I'll look into it.

Sorry, the Shoutbox was my idea. I couldn't use the IRC at work.

Its cool, the shout box will actually work a little better as you can hop in and shout something, leave and when someone else joins they will still see it, where as with the IRC you have to be in the room when something is said to see it.
