I am confused with others on a car I am trying to de-code.  This '84 CRX has a 8th digit of "3".  Has anyone figured out what that means?  The car is obviously not a GL or LX.  Thanks.

Old thread I know, but 10th digit may be model year rather than year of manufacture, mine was built in 1983 and has E in that position.
