Dyno results info sheet---> 2650 pounds.

Holy crap.

Yeah, heavy motor plus all the body work is metal, not fiberglass.

Those wheels came as 13x6...he had them widened, can't remember if he did it or had someone do it, but he was fully capable, I'm sure!

Beg to differ, those are corvette wheels, and those brakes.. guess what they came from along with most of the suspension.

I have the article saved on a hard drive, when I put it back in a machine I'll dig it up and post it.

What it looks like is he had the centers machined out and new centers fitted in.

Look up "corvette turbine wheels" on google...

That actually sounds familiar. I was pretty sure they were Enkei's, oh well. I wish my memory was better than it is! Frustrates me... huh.gif

Thanks for the correction and info!

I'm still waiting to hear from a response from Glen, the owner. Love to get a close look at that beastie again. We were rushing when I saw it in Spokane.

Mmmmm... X1/9

With the Fiero GT on the background, this almost looks like a mid engine meet.

Glen just got back to me and he sold the Civic to someone in Spokane (where I saw it). So the story of the Acuronda goes on....

Looks oddly familiar to this one. JS

Yep, that Civic looks just like a Renault I saw going by one day. That is a hot car (the Renault).

Going to Hawaii? You need a Dune Buggy.

WTB: 14x8 or 9" Panasports or Watanabe RS.

WTB: 3g Civic hatch gauge cowl, brown.

WTB: ZC header--FOUND

Ha, they are both hot! Civic isn't turbo'd, but just as cool (and probably more reliable...) tongue.gif

I recently visited with Glen and he told me that there is some interest in MY car on here! Hello All, my name is Eric and I am in Spokane, WA. I recently picked up the Acuronda and am in the process of updating it. It is getting a newer engine and transmission and a few improvements to the aerodynamics. The car has worn well over the years, The paint is getting rough, and it has some hard earned miles on it, but I will revive her! Stay tuned. I will put up some current pix as soon as I get a handle on this site! Take care all!

Yep, I remember when he first posted that car here, I mentioned that it reminded me of KITTs 'Super Pursuit Mode'. That's a Civic in Super Pursuit Mode!! biggrin.gif

Glad to see it's still in tip-top shape.

Just a quick update. I finally got the new engine and transmission in and took it in to go through emissions yesterday. Good news, it passed easily, bad news, apparently I didn't figured one of the rive shaft lengths properly and I have (hopefully) an engagement issue. I had taken it out on a "shakedown cruise" a few days prior and only had trouble with the cooling. It REALLY flew! Big difference from the previous engine. BTW, it now has a J32A2, complete with the 6 speed and LSD!
