Its been so long and things have changed with the "Cahita" project...

Anyhow, i figure I'll continue were i left off... Transmission

So the transmission is all done, I managed to get my hands on CG synchros from SynchroTech off of there Pro series Carbon line

(really cool guy, i forgot his name, it was afew years ago but he was digging, and waaa laaa there they were. Last set 1-4th carbon synchros)

Accord 5th gear, and obx LSD

Casing all cleaned up and ready.... (sorry of some shitty pics but some of them are old)

Nice work/update.

I found the OBX lsd is pretty good - I have to be really trying for it to lose drive in a corner, and then its a marginal effect.  I also found I could use B series cable box synchros for some of the replacements, if you need that in the future.

So i had on my check list, was to get BisiMoto V2 headers.. well here they are B)

 IMG_2102.jpg

Well, guess I'll share where I'm at with my engine..

So i originally was gona go with an all-motor setup. But it seemed like i wasnt going to hit my HP goal (which is 200hp) with the setup I was intended to do. So i came upon someone that had at the moment crashed his delsol and he was parting out. He was running a D-series Jackson Supercharger. So with abit of sweet talk lol i managed to convince him to sell kit.. :D

IMG_3241.jpg

With that said i had already got a ZCspeed adapter i was going to run my Skunk2 intake manifold

IMG_2317.jpg

Test fitting

IMG_2323.jpg

IMG_2322.jpg

Planning on running 10psi on it and sending it to LHT Performance to have it convert the intake manifold into a Liquid cool. I've been looking up and it seems they tend to get hot and thats a big NO NO on my book.  Anyhow heres a look on my internals..

75.5mm 11:8 compression, eagle H rods, Correct ARP studs for D16A1's

That is impressive gear.

I'll be interested to see how 11.8 static compression and 10 psi boost is dealt with in tuning. From my current understanding you will be pushing the envelope.  Cooling the intake is a good move in that regard. I do like that the pistons have substantial meat in the between ring lands.

Can I ask for the details on the pistons - they don't appear to be P28's.

Your con rods look similar to a set I have.  Word of advice - I had to notch the cylinder wall to allow that wide section clear movement.  About 12 mm needed to be taken out up the wall. Do a trial fit with just one piston and rod to see what has to happen.

hey, thanks Anjin,

yeah i would have to noch the block for rod clearance..

The piston are actually custom ordered for the D16A1..i'll dig out the box and get you the specs

I really cant wait to get it tuned, going to be running Hondata S300 with the CPR kit to run individual coils

Mocking up the some coils ^_^

Cheddas Spherical Bearing for Crossmember/ and LCA

Also have the Cheddas Top shock mount and i switched out the Heel Toe camber caster kit for Cheddas kit, like that i can use a strut bar with that camber Caster kit

Chedda makes some nice kit.

Re the strut bar, I did a cheeky use of an EG cross strut, bolted directly to the front of the towers with a backing plate inside.  Cleared everything with a B swap in, although the clutch cable is a stretch if you leave it over the cross brace.(being a RHD motor, the cable is short).
