In Ontario, this is the legal wage, per hour:
General Workers: $6.85
Liquor Servers: $5.95
Students under 18 years of age: $6.40
Homeworkers: $7.54
Some stuff is more expensive, some stuff is cheaper. I can say this, I sure wouldn't want to get sick in the US. I've heard some horror stories.
And don't feel sorry for us, most of us choose to live here.

I think they changed minimum wage to an even $7.00 in 1999. Not sure 100%,
but I vaguely remember that. Because cost of living is going up, I think they are
in talks of raising it again to $8.00/hr - who knows.
LOL, the topic should've read "I feel sorry for you Americans". Have you watched
the news lately? Do you know what Nuclear winter is?
Scary.

Yup! I bumped the limits for the titles and pylons. You can always give yourself a custom title....
And regarding health insurance...we don' need no steenkin' health insurance! We've got a crazy high tax rate to take care of that...

WHY CANADA KICKS ASS>>>
25 year negotionable mortgage system... the loan is essential negotionable at specific periods you the lendee can choos your carrier to get the best rate. in america to lowere the rate one must refinance at a cost of 1 to 3 thousand dollars, and the lendee has no control who ends up servicing the loan. essetially you dont end up paying 3x the loan amount for a home
lower property value, meaning they are with out the ungodly overinflated housing pricing that prevents alot of people from securing home home specifcally in california which in comparison a $500,000 home would roughly be 200,000
exchange rate makes almost everything cheaper.
better beer nismo american whiskey sucks candian whiskey is better scotch is alright but the mans whiskey is deffently an Irish , goes down like milk smells like perfume and knocks you on you ass.
5 of my aunts and uncles live there halifax, calgary, edmonton, toronto, prince edward island and my cousins are even futher spread...
what sucks abou america
War mongering
no health care
everyone trying to shoot you
deep seeded racism
