Junkyard Carb, Or Try To Rebuild?

I noticed yesterday, after smelling raw gas for a bit, that my carb appears to be leaking somewhere.  The sight glass was at the top just after I shut the car down, then about an hour later it was near the bottom.  The screws on the carb have been tore up a bit from someone going in there before.  And the choke has had the rivets removed and replaced with screws.

Would you try to rebuild it, or just get a stock carb from the junkyard? (there is a local yard with a 147k carb right now).  This carb has 251k on it.

depending on the engine/carb, they do make rebuild kits for your carb. Though they are rather pricey, you can find fully rebuilt carbs on ebay for someplace in the $350 range, which is quite steep in my mind. If you buy the one in the local yard, you'll still have to rebuild it.

IIRC the major issue is to get a new carb to intake gasket, the thick neoprene / composite one, I have never seen it, but remember some previous discussion about this specific gasket.
