Alright I broke the rules and changed my stock carb with a motorcraft / ford 300 cfm 2 barrel it will crank and run but it's smoking white smoke bad I tapped and plugged the coolant hole that used to enter the bottom of the carb so no coolant is enter through the intake I check my compression my head has been shaved a lot where previous owner melted it down so compression is now 270 on all four cylinders so my question is what do y'all think is going on

Your first guess is probably correct.  You've got a coolant leak somewhere.

Going to Hawaii? You need a Dune Buggy.
