that is one clean clean first gen. with that bumper those wheels suit (even though they prolly rub a little)

there wouldnt be any flaming from me if you left the exterior the way it is.

Actually, the wheels don't rub at all. The suspension is stiff enough to eliminate alot of body roll and the rear wheel wells have been rolled.

ive got 15's on my teg and they rub at full lock. (which is what i was talking about) but its still a nice car

lxndr, can you explain this....

I also added aluminum strips to support my delicate fenders.

...add on top, or fasten to the fenders?

Added another picture for you.

Thanks! The idea I was thinking was to have the piece the otherway, so that it also strengthened the vertical part.

Good job though

I LLLLLLLLLLIKE IT!

"Faugen" bumper... laugh.gif Now's that's funny.

You've done a great job lxndr, now, if you'd only lose the "wagon wheels"!

Well, seeing that I'm coming for a visit I may not bring my tawdy looking CRX afterall. My paint is dead and makes the car look pretty bad. But at least I have a nice 1.6i-16 logo on the back. Do I have to bring you another one or are you trying to stay incognito?

I do have new front fenders, header panel, rear spoiler, nice Celica seats and possibly a nice shiny hood in waiting. At least my interior will be spiffy clean if I can get it all back in time for the trip. March 23-26 possibly a small meet at a convenient location around Seattle??

Pictures look great. Find us some nice wheels!! JS

If you want one of these Logos send me a PM

If I put it on, I'll just have to take it off when I repaint the car, so I'm saving it for a special occasion!

lxndr,
I'll bring some logos along for anyone that may need one.

kakabox,
I'd love to bring the Mini but it is in worse disarray than the CRX. Haven't worked on it in a year. I do have a D16A1 for it though. If and when I get it done I can say it will be the first North American Mini with CRX suspension in the front. It's been done in Holland. Maybe the rear if I can work it. Here's my Flinstone car.

Right on! I'd like a logo.

...cool mini...I've always loved minis. When I was a kid, I lived across the street from a Foreign Car Repair ("Cars of the World" iirc) shop that specialized in fixing minis. They had several Cooper 'S' models for sale on the lot along w/a couple of woody wagons...I probably was the only 10 yr old that drooled over those too, rather than just the omnipresent muscle cars of the era.

I'd love to do a mini...I'm always going to the GoMini web site: http://www.gomini.com/fs/vtec/vtec.htm and drooling over the VTEC conversions...the Alpaca Beige car in particular. I'd like to build an indentical one someday.

Cheers! cool.gif

2G CRX ZC intake manifold

It bolts right up if you either remove 2 studs or drill 2 holes.

looks good, I was wondering what did you use to shave your side molding on the door skins/fenders/rocker? and how did it come out?
