That sucks.

I have had my 7th gen Civic broken into 5 times. Every side window on the car has been broken. 3 of those times the theives stole the stereo(one of the reasons I no longer have a stereo in the car). Two of those times I caught the theives in the act.

The first of those I was in a restaurant chatting with a friend for about 25 mins. We came out of the place and noticed that my car alarm was going off as we approached my vehicle. The alarm is very sensitive so I didn't think much of it at first... until a guy popped up, briefly glanced at me, and began walking away. I put 2 and 2 together in about 2 seconds and took off after the guy. After about a 100 yard dash, a getaway car pulls up and he jumps in... I was able to put a shoe sized dent in the door as they peeled out... but nothing else. This was at 4pm in broad daylight mind you.

The second time was in front of my old apartment.... I was able to scare them off before they did anything other than crack the rear window. But once again, they hopped in a getaway car that was ready for them.

Ugh... makes my blood boil just thinking about it.

I've had my 87 broken into a couple years back ruined my door handle and door.

I Hate thieves. Sorry about your ride.

Since day 1 (and I have continued this with all cars) after mine was
broken into in June 87 I have had a blinking light and distinctive
warning stickers.

I actually had an alarm for a while but it broke a month after the
warranty was up I've never had one again.

Now, I've had a BIG problem with marauders shooting my rear hatches out......
