I've seen all over an article on how to make custom halo or angel eye-style headlights, but you always have to pay for it. Anyone know how to do this or tried it before? Also, has anyone shaved the handles off their 3g?

Wow that was an excellent how-to webpage. I just think it would look awful on a 1G/3G though since our headlamps only have 1 light vs 2 on those aftermarket projector style lights for the 2G.
I guess if you custom fabbed a set of 2 lamp lights for the 1G you could have angel rings on them and it wouldnt look so bad... I think these are a fad though and will quickly become "gay" just like windshield washer lights and light up valve stem caps.

I noticed you have an 85, assuming still with the 4 x 6 recessed headlights. Pilot makes crystal 4 x 6 H4 headlight housings with square halo rings that take 194 bulbs. I have them in my car. Don't look too bad, and the H4 bulbs provide better lighting. If you go this route don't use any bulbs any higher than 55/65W. Higher ones will crack the glass since the bulb housing is so small and confined. You can't really see the halos when the headlights are on so it's mainly only good for parking lot meets.

I think I got them at Autozone. You can't see the halo effect when your headlights are on, so mainly just for parking llot effects. They are made by Pilot.
