I'm looking for a working OEM Honda tape deck and/or EQ that was a dealer option back in the day, preferably from '84-'87. I just picked up an OEM audio console kit for my 3G and need something to fill the hole while maintaining the Honda originality.

Here's a scan of the decks and EQ from my '86 dealer brochure:

Please PM me or reply of you have a tape deck or EQ for sale.

I have the Honda radio/tape deck from the last pic (the one with the analogue display, not the digital display).
Still works fine, it's from my 87 CRX DX (CDM model).
I don't have the EQ though.
The radio is yours for shipping if you want it.

I just traded that desk from my 86 Si to Keith last month. I don't know what he planned for it. Has the 2/4 speaker switch on the back too.

I currently have your manual push-botton radio in my Winnebago, since I wired it up with the '86 and up Honda radio standard plug. I did that so that I could easily swap in my in-dash MP3 player/CD/radio.

This works well, since the Winnebago doesn't maintain electronic memory settings...

This radio doesn't have the equalizer plug hole.

I happened to be working on the Honda radio and equalizer in my daughter's CRX the other night. I have one small equalizer and one larger (DIN-sized) equalizer, and I was having trouble with a compatable plug in one of my Honda radios. I apparently need a security code of the radio I need to use...

Keith, who only knows a little about security codes in Honda radios...

Thanks for the offers everyone!

After talking with kedwards, I realized that I need a tape deck that has an EQ plug on the rear. And it seems that the analog, knob-style decks are not compatible with EQ's. But I think all Si decks and the factory optional units are EQ-compatible.

Does anyone know if an '88 Integra SE EQ will plug into a Honda tape deck and vice versa? Has anyone ever mixed Honda and Acura units? And do these Acura plugs appear to be the same as Honda plugs?

Here are a few pics of the SE EQ, cable and tape deck that I have and might use:

Please let me know if you have anything for sale.

Not true, at least hatch wise. The analog desk keith got was from my 86 Si.

I have an 87 Integra EQ, just no head unit for it.

Other than having a hole/plug in the back, apparently there are slightly different plugs. Neither smaller EQ I tried would fit with any of the "newer" Honda head units I tried them on.

I have a larger (DIN-sized) EQ that worked fine with all of my Honda radios (that have the EQ plug in the back). It probably came out of an Accord.

I believe the radios I have are later than our cars. The plug also looks to be the same as would be used with Honda/Alpine CD changers.

The smaller EQs I tried look like this (but with out the DIN-sized adapter)
