Well, I actually did it. I got rid of the CRX. To be honest, a part of me went with the car, and I am truly going to miss driving it every day. I feel more..... domesticated! Scarry.

Well, I really didn't sell it. My buddy, who did the motor work for me bought it took it from me. He wants to do the same thing I wanted to do, make a real nasty all motor sleeper. He has more time and knowledge to keep the car running, and get it in the 11's. The posotive side for me is that I can still help out with the car, and possibly still drive it once in a while.

With that being said, on Wed of this week, I took a trip to San Diego and got me a Silver 07' Honda Fit Sport. Other than it is gutless, I really like the car. Can't wait to coax some power out of its tiny 1.5 VTEC L15A1 motor...

Oh, I still have a passenger Si seat, and the stock red hood from my CRX. Anybody want either of them, come get them. If nobody claims them soon, I am just throwing them in the dumpster.

Nice that you got rid of it so easy, at least it went to someone who will continue the process.

I'll get the parts out of your way if you are just dumping them, I still need to get that headlight boot from you anyway. smile.gif

Getting rid of my 1st 1G was the biggest mistake I have ever made with cars. I got it back thou 7 months later... fixed it for it to only be driven 2 weeks before a girl without insurance ran a stop sign and I T-boned her.

I could really use that red hood... mine is so riddled with dents and bends its not funny

Sorry to hear you had to get rid of the rex... but, if its got a good home still, at least, that can be a good thing!

at least this way you have a better chance at buying the car back in the future when you have the time and finances for it. i also hope you got a fair price for it.

now tell the new owner to join RPR smile.gif

I was gonna say. Preach the RPR word brother. I'm glad your car went to a good home. I just gave my cousin my 1st car. An '86 si. I hope he has good plans for it. I hope my car can be a good example for him.

Actually, everytime I ran across somebody with a 1st gen CRX, I told them about this site, but I never seen any of them on here.

Like I said, first person to show up and take the hood, gets it. I kept it on foam for a long time, and I had waxed the car several times before the hood came off. Just been sitting in my garage.

David (My buddy who now owns the CRX) is going to take good care of it. I took over all the interior pieces, and he is already putting it all together. I left all the rear interior pieces out for weight. As for price, I won't disguss that, being as he is the guy that rebuilt all my motors overnight when I needed them. I kinda owed him allot. If it wasn't for him, the CRX wouldn't have a B Series in it.

Oh, he did find where to get those plastic ring guides for the window guides. (the plastic rings that sit in the tracts) He has a buddy at acura, and he cross referenced them to the Integra. He is going to see if they work. If they do, he or I will let everybody know.

As I stated before, whoever comes and gets the hood, can take it. I am not asking any money for it.

On the other hand, we took the carbon fibre overlay gas door and put the stock red one back on. So, Any bidders for it? As soon as I can find my camera, I will snap some pics, and put it in the classifieds area.

Hello.

Iam the new owner of the rex..I used to be registered here as Hybrid_Hatch or Hybrid99Hatch but forgot the login and registered email so this is my new name..

I have been working for days on the rex to get the problems worked out of it and all is coming along nice..I belive the wheel hub bearing issues had to due with shitty kragen bearings that are made wrong and dont bottom out the hub on the bearing allowing it to come loose after time..I ordered new bearings from acura and will see how it goes..this is to be my "street car" as I already have a full blown race 99 dx hatch back..my wife is going to drive this car (crx) at BOTI in oct and Iam going to make ray take a pass aswell but he will have to clean the seat after he shits himself..LMAO..I have the full car all back together and looking good..a few more small things and its done..thermostat,window reg and bushings, wheel bearings, alignment and other very small things..plans are..

Type R intake manifold
Type R throttle body
RM M21 cams
RM springs/retainers
OBD1 swap with P28 ecu
Hondata S200
Profab header
cat delete
440cc injectors
ported head

all should be done before oct if all goes well.
