I recently puchased a 85 crx race car with a bad engine, the ptevious owner told me it had a si gears and a lsd. The place he bought ut from also claims the same, I have copy of the ad. It looks to me like it is a si motor that is running a race carb. I pulled axles out tonight and look through the hole were they go and I see the rod in there. Is it possible the trans still has a lsd setup, I know my integra with type r trans has no rod in the diff. I thought maybe the lsd unut is aftermarket and they might be different than the stock ones.

Maybe it has a phantom grip LSD.
Try spinning one of the wheels while they are both in the air. Which way does the other side spin?
If it spins the same direction you have some sort of LSD if it spins the opposite then no, you dont have an LSD.
