I need to confirm if this is a 3G or newer style cluster. I don't do much with the 3G's and my recognition abilities are suspect. It may be from a newer model that I pulled one time for a comparison or something and never actually put it to good use. It is a Nippon Seiki version. I wish to sell it and need to confirm for possible buyer. JS

Hi Teek,

I was thinking about $30.00 plus shipping. How does that sound. A member in Puerto Rico needs one. JS

So, is this an 84-85 or 86-87. It's been suggested it is the earlier model. Would there be a conflict in the wiring or are all the years plug and play as in the CRX's? JS

That makes sense. It would not be an Si cluster as it has the choke symbol in the bottom left idiot light. JS

that can be a 84-87 civic hatch back or sedan cluster they use the same one. the only diff you will have is the blue connector on the back will be yellow on some clusters then all you do is swap the connectors the wires are same color code. i belive the diff connectors is the brand. dinso or nikko is the other i think.

I don't think that would be a USDM cluster, must be Canadian or else where that had a manual choke. Sorry, for the pointless post, waiting on files to copy to ext drive before I go to work.

True, It is from a CDN car but should be plug and play for a USDM model. Major difference is the KPH reading vs MPH. JS

im not sure if the USDM or CDM cars came with the facelift and non facelift clusters if they did thats the early one.

This is the 86 87 JDM E-AT one with the recessed face

and the 84 85 pre facelift without the recessed face.

And here is a EDM cluster note the different symbols on the top right two warning lights. the cluster pictured above is different again and has KMH and MPH so must be CDM

Thanks for all the pictures. Mine is definitely a CDM model as I picked from the JY last year when I was trying to find alternatives for a cluster. It is interesting to see the different nuances in the warning lights. Looks like one is a catalytic converter symbol perhaps? I like the recessed face look much better than the flat version. Any chance that you can post a picture of the rear of the units JDM/EDM? Then I can park them in a file for future reference if I need them. Also curious if there was any provision for a VSS in the rear? JS
