B18B1 Swap

i have a 86' civic si htch.  Was thinking of putting a b18b1 in it.  anybody whos done this, whats a list of everything i need to make this swap happen.  Any help would be appricated

Same as other Bswaps, without the need to do the vtec switch, as I understand it.   My lsvtec B18A block went in to temporarily replace a b18C no problems.

 

I think one bonus is the oil pan isn't as deep, so you have a little better clearance.

mounts, axles, 1st gen  teg hubs, (might as well get the brakes), patience, obd1 engine harness, this forum, i'd say a decent amount of cash and a side car because this one will be down for a minute or two... it's not as easy as a weekend swap... trust me, i thought i had everything and had planned everything out for almost a year... put everything together, performance parts and all... and i'm still shooting a wiring issue... one simple wire... :wacko: :wacko:  i even went with rywire which should have made this all very easy...

 

any plans for suspension... when it comes to these cars, it's best to start on suspension and work your way into the engine swaps... what's the point of all that power with no control??
