I've been assuming you have something like a 4G SI distributor with 3 VR sensors, an ingitor, and a coil crammed inside. But you mention wanting to switch to electronic advance so, I assume you have a vaccum advance distributor.

Those have an external coil, no? Are you familiar with the VR sensors inside your distributor? Does is have a 4 spoke TDC VR sensor? That is key to signalling the MS when each piston is at TDC.

Well everyone i have finally installed the megasquirt to the car. This is the setup:

Megasquirt 2 v3.0
High current ignition driver. using a 5 v pull-up resistor
Msd 6al
Blaster coil 2
Jacobs 8.5mm spark plug wires

Car idles but have doen't rev yet need a vacum source for the map sensor. Will post an update later have a video of the start.
