Yes, we always want what we don't have. I pulled the headlight wipers from a hatch at the auto salvage in Norway for my car. Didn't have to pay customer or shipping to get them home, just put them in my luggage and checked them at the airport. I remember most people were saying they had to be after market when I first mentioned seeing them on a girl's car outside my hotel, but I saw them on every old Honda I saw on the road in Norway (all 3 of them).

Really like how your car is coming alone. Looks about how I want one of mine to look when I get around to working on it. Just a few differences from my goals (JDM corner instead of EDM, no gum ball side marker, sunroof, full belt around car, keyless gas door and white handles and mirrors).

Thanks ! And actually I was thinking to go with new side markers and white handles too :D JDM corners are very rare so if I can find a decent pair of them Im buyin them too ! And about the headlight washers, they are going to be ripped of ;)

And about the project, I just pulled the car into warm garage where I can do it when ever I want. So now insurances and taxes don't run and next time I'll drive it, it'll be ZC-powered and fixed all around :) Here's couple of pic's of my old 3gens (someone may remember me, I had a project topic few years ago) and of the car right now:

And these are my previous 3gens, from 2009 :)

Been silent here, but we're still alive! I'd took the interior apart in both cars and now I'm ready to swap the complete wiring harnesses and make the new main fuelline into Civic. I'll use the carb'd mainline as returnline in pgm-fi setup.

I have also fitted CRX 89 rear discs, only right side needs to be swapped and the brakes are done. I ordered also new KYB shocks all around the car, ES polyurethane bushing masterkit, new rearsprings (-35mm), new front trailingarms with new joints etc etc. So the suspension should be complete next right after the brakes. I'll adjust the frontend one spore higher, so it could be driven as it should. Now its awful, thanks to 5cm gap to ground and dead shocks...

I took the ZC off the CRX and after I've finished the suspension and brakes I'll maintenance the engine with new pistonrings, gaskets, bearings, seals etc etc. And then it should be ready to drop into enginebay  B)  B)

So shame, but local Honda guys didnt need any parts of the CRX, so I throw all of them into garbage. Bumpers, dash, centerconsole, plastic fenders etc... I have no room to store them

I also bought new wheels for 90€, and planned to paint them in green, like in my old Civic. White is my ex and green is my friend's ex.

Can anybody tell me is there any differences between 3g Civic HB 1.3 rear axle and 1g CRX AS (EDM) 1.6-16v ZC rear axle ? Im just trying to learn the basics of internal swaybar rearbeam and now Im just confused should I swap the axle too or leave the Civic axle on its place.

I have had a thought to buy external swaybar some day, but at the first summer we go with what we have :)

-Suspension includes new KYB gas shocks, new balljoints, controlarms, US-Racing -40mm loweringsprings and Energy Suspension urethane masterkit. I also lowered frontshocks so they wont bottom -up so easy.

-Brakes are completely from 1gen CRX ZC excl. reardiscs, proportional-valve and e-brake cables. They are from 2gen CRX and discs needed a little work to fit, but now they are fine. Rear brakehouses are from n13 Nissan Sunny btw. :D

-Engine is EDM ZC1 with 92-00 D-series header and 5,5kg flywheel. I changed also bearings, valve seals, gaskets, waterpump+thermostat, timingbelt etc... Timingbelt tensioner is from D16A9 engine and works fine also.

-Transmission, whole driveshafts and knuckles from 1gen CRX ZC. Shortshifter is modded from Civic 88-> shifter with DC2 titanium knob.

-Car is 2-seater now, I welded rear strutbar and added Sabelt seatbelts and CRX seats. There is also CRX cluster.

-Exterior is almost the same than before, only few stickers, rims ans red CIVIC rearlight garnish is added. And that garnish were pretty hard to find, only few Civic 1.5i GTI models have been sold in Finland with that part.

Todays shoppinglist includes new thicker radiator, new lr brakecaliper, new walbro pump and JDM ecu and few gauges inside the car.

More pics coming soon.

Been a while since updating this topic, but car works fine now and I've been driven it over 1000km w/o issues. I just ordered new brakediscs and pads and bought better driveshafts. Exhaust needs to be fab'd too, 1.3 carbd exhaust may be a little bottleneck  Here's few pics.

Honda is still running great, driven it now over 2000km. I just changed new rotors and pads for front and a new cv-joint for drivers side. Its nice when u have done everything at ur own and everything works correctly, because I were a littlebit skeptic when I pulled carb'd harness out of the car and modded the 1g pgm-fi harness to fit 3g.

I still need to fab the exhaust and better intake. I prefer to stick with orig. filterbox, just upgrade it with better and smoother piping to the manifold. Exhaust should be fab'd with 2" straight pipe and two mufflers, it should do the trick with 4-2-1 header.

First I had clear idea of rought interior with only frontseats and aluminiun doorpanels etc, but now I realised I like it more when its pretty stock, with few mods. Now there is Nardi Torino (fake) sw, dc2 shiftknob and CRX AS seats with red Sabelt safetybelts. Still need to buy new carpets :)

I tried 0-100 and 80-120 at third gear couple of times. 0-100 with carb'd stock exhaust took approx. 7.8sec and 80-120 (3rd gear) 4.5sec :)

Ill post pics when I get my new rims and have the car polished.

Ive been rolling on my friend's Enkeis for couple of weeks, and damn they look nice in my car ! I also found silver 3g in local scrapyard and bought mint cargocover and glovebox from it for 20€. I'll pay another visit there at next week and get oem mudflaps for 10€ and maybe something else too. I also ordered orange Lamin-X to get usdm look into my cornerlights :)

My friend gave me EG hatch oem sideskirts that Im about to mod into my 3g, lets see how they fit. I'll post pics when they're ready :)

After taking these pics I lifted rear of the hood for 2cm, helps whit cooling and imo looks better :) I also thought to sandblast and paint the valvecover in brown, like it should be :)
