Hi everyone, and greets from Finland ! Its time to start up a little project with my new car, Civic 1.3 1986. Bought the car with new paintjob and cutted rearcoils and adjusted torsionbars, so the car is clean and pretty slammed, but soooo slooow. So it took only few days when I got clear vision of the car at next summer... Let the pics talk:

This is how the car look before I bought it, I didnt take those wheels with the car, so it came to me with 13" steelies...

These were taken few days after I bought it. Just cleaned and polished it inside and out.

And next day it looked like this. Found some rust too

Now the interior is all ripped off and I start with fixing all the rust spots. Then I start to think about increasin body rigidity and fit new seats (havent even bought them yet  <_< )

And last but not the least I got the doner car, CR-X 1.6-16v. Been under tree for almost year, and that son of a bitch needed only jumpstart from my Civic and it started with old gas in tank and thousends of rotten leaves on and inside the car  B)  So this is going to be one of those ZC swapped 3gens ;) This is pretty rare car in here, so its nice to build a car u can find at carpark :)

Thanks man! Backseats actually weighted pretty much, so if u dont really need them, rip them off  ;) Headlight washers are funny thing, people who have them rip them off and who dont have them want them for any price :D

Next step were brakes, so I ripped of the brakes from CRX and noticed that they are the same than Teg brakes. 7/8 mc, booster with red sticker and 242mm vented disks. I took them apart, maintenanced and painted them. Nice to install fresh parts B) And as You can see in pictures, I have rear discs also. They are from 2gen CRX D16A9. They need a little work to fit, the bracket is different and hoses/cables are way different too ofcourse. Let's see :)

And everything bolted on.

I also painted frontlip in matching color, and I like it! Have to do same to the skirts tomorrow. Looks fresh and younger :)

Thanks mate ! This is kinda practising too, never fixed rusty car with purpose to drive it after year so this is new to me :D Cutted all the rust away, cleaned everything and welded 1mm patches 100% inside and outside :)

Have been kinda lazy with the car, but at least I've done something :D I bought 14" wheels from my friend and painted/striped them in white/red. I also modded "H" emblems with red sticker and tried to DIY JDM taillight panel. First I sanded "Civic" text away and then sprayed the panel first silver and then with red transparent color. Looks good enought for me :) Oh, and I also installed hoodpin kit and tinted headlights :) Here's few fresh pics.

Frontbrakes were easy to fit and they feel fine now, but rears needs new holes in the bracket, and offcourse longer studs to fit properly in axle. I filled the old holes of the bracket with MIG and drill new ones in right position, so assembly shouldnt be a problem.

I agree! This is really looking great! Is the ZC in good condition already, or will you need to work on it before you swap it in?

Keep it up!

Thanks!! Engine and tranny has 249tkm mileage, so before swapping it into car I maintenance it with new oils, plugs, belts etc. After the swap is once done and car works properly, the engine is easy to rip off again  :D

I was thinking to mod it later with better cams, header+exhaust, cai and lightened flywheel.. Are we even close 150whp with them? Ofcourse I'll change bearings, pistonrings and gaskets if engine seems to be worn out, but at least now it feels and sounds very good and all gears, clutch etc works fine! We'll see :)

All opinions and heads-ups of swapping and tuning ZC is more than welcome !
