Noooooooooooooo! Don't you dare give up on this WAY TO COOL project. Not now, not ever. Now, go to the mirror, and slap yourself for the above quoted thought-process.

And check your PM's 'cause I need some help. Thanks.

oh, im not giving up on the project. it WILL be finished. the question is what will happen to it after it is finished?

I mean wagovans... Theres a few fast wagons though, the new STi is pretty quick. Probably the only STi that i like.

dude, they are making a STI wagon now? that is both kick ass and gay at the same time. not sure if i like the idea or not.

all i have done to the car at this point is spent a few hours over one weekend and got the engine in. still need to throw in the wiring harness and fuel system and it should run. i have all the parts here so maybe i'll get back to it this week. maybe i wont. who knows. i would like to have it finished before the Sgt. Pepper meet in september though so i better get back to work on it soon. stay tuned, there might or might not be updates this week.

not much of an update but today i did work on the car for a little bit for the first time since i originally made this thread. today i mounted the AC compressor, installed both axles and put the rear driveshaft back in then started removing the engine bay harness. hopefully this weekend i will get the complete harness out and the new one in. would be nice to start this thing up by sunday night but no promises since im just not feeling very motivated

also, im waiting on my HF radiator. hopefully will be here sometime next week.

OG Wagon and airgazm, whats the deal with the AWD decals?

Thanks for the update. Best of luck this weekend! Can't wait to hear how it all goes.

Sorry on the decals. I've been slacking.

I've had the measurements sitting here at the house for about a month. I just need to illustrate them
more clearly on a sheet of paper, scan it, and zip it over to airgasm for his review.

The ball stopped at me. I'll get it rolling again next week.

words of advice... if anyone does this swap and probably the same for any D16A1 1/3G swap. if you are keeping AC you will make your life a hell of a lot easier if you mount the AC compressor to the front motor mount bracket BEFORE you put the mount itself in and bolted to the frame and bracket. for some reason this was a total bitch for me to do with the motor mount already holding the engine in the car.

another small update. today i took the dash and old wiring harness out and then laid the new harness in place. tomorrow i plan to get the dash back in and most, if not all the wiring finished.

LMAO! i guess im gonna have to get off my ass and finish it just so you, BigOrange and Badpenny will get off my ass about finishing it. it's not far now. i promise i will work on it more next week.

to be quite honest, this car could have been done the same week i started it but it is not finished for a reason that most of you wouldnt understand and most of you dont even know about so yes, it's intentional that it's not finished yet... for the most part.
