I am considering repainting my Civic. I would rather keep it a stock color if I can find one that really grabs me. I have seen several red/silver two tone Civics lately and really like that look. I am just hoping that someone with an original brochure could scan it for me.

The entire tool selection at Sears or the contents of a Snap-On truck will do you no good if you do not know how to use them.

E_AT me, sorry I forgot to delete the previous string when responding, I meant was champagne beige metallic a colour featured on the website that you keep referencing. I keep looking for an orange metallic very similar to the 1 and 2g hatches for my 3g and can't find a close enough match to the code.

Thanks guys. It appears as though the '84 S hatch only came in Gothic Grey, Greek White, and Victoria Red, and only with the silver lowers. Gives me limited options if I want to retain the authenticity. I hate to say it, but I have actually been thinking monochromatic black would look pretty damn good. I swore off owning black cars though. Of course its not a daily driver....

i like the grey.. it's a very "in" color right now though.. paint it white. like my hatch... heheheee.

Why bother if its a factory reject or not, it looks clean. like an oil slick. it looks good. If thats the original paint job then someone kept up that really well.
And I just checked on the paint. you've got a color that is called burn black metallic, and it was only offered on the Hatch. Congratulations on a rare paint job.

Black would look sick! With the widebody and stuff it would really make it look devilish.

sorry, it was offered on 85 CRX Si's, too. i don't know what color the 86-87 black crx Si's were, but i know the 85's were blackburn.

as for me, like i said, i wouldn't do black. it would hide everything too much, i think..

There's a kind of slate blue that comes on Mini Coopers that I really like. Similar to the Civic's Baltic Blue, but a bit more modern, and still fitting:

This is what I'll be going with whenever I get the Civic repainted. smile.gif

not to be nit-picky, but I think I might've found a typo:
D13A2 - 1500 Carbureted Engine
D15A2 - 1300 Carbureted Engine
D15A3 - 1500 Fuel Injected Engine

I think the numbers "1300" & "1500" should be switched, maybe?
