Awesome, that subframe is just sexy, even if it is just a subframe!
Also, if you haven't gotten that last bolt out of the crank yet, you should be able to file/grind two sides flat and remove it with a nice good set of vice grips.
Cheers,
Mark
i had thought of that too, but i don't have a vice to secure the crank in. plus its got that hole in the middle of it. i think that would comprimise the integrity of the bolt itself and just break off in the jaws of the vise grips. a machine shop could get out right? they have more tools than i do. almost ready to get the machine work done if i can decide on the piston situation.
WHAT is the piston situation you ask? well, im not sure if going through the trouble of locating the proper 1.6 piston will be worth it. i'm looking at a money spent : reward ratio.
either a: get the pistons, and deal with the way high compression and necessary tuning and additional parts that will come with it. or
b: keep the stock piston and shave the head just enough to put around 10:1 which is where i was told i want to be on pump gas.
all the information i have gotten is from here. yes i want this to be a fast machine, but not one so complicated that it sits in the garage for two years because of indecsision, parts hunting, incompatability of the parts themselves, etc, etc.
scott <----sure wishes there was an easy solution.
