hmm...

today i bought "guage assembly" from civic 3 gen - version with tachometer. My civic has a version without tachometer... what must I do to swap this "guage assembly"? Must I make only new connection to tachometer and all the rest of wire connections are the same?

ps: sorry for my baaaaaad english...

Well, when I swapped mine, all I had to do was connect it like the stock one and it just worked. I didn't have to do any wiring.

There is something on my new guage assembly that I have'nt on my old (ver. without tachometer). On the speedometer is white box with some electronical parts. It has plug with four wires... don't know what is it. do I need to plug this?

ps: sorry for stupid questions but i'm not too good in electrical part of my car smile.gif

I have no idea. Just plug everything that can be plugged in and see what happens. It will either work, or it won't, it won't hurt anything by trying.

Mine was "plug and play", when I did it years ago. I went from a '85 1300 4-speed to a DX, I believe. Instant tach.

Keith, who needs to try this on the wife's '95 Civic DX Coupe...

Is your car the d16 because on the back of my teg cluster there is a wite box that attaches to the speedo and I think its important.

I have done it...

...but I had to switch 3 wires in plugs. I fought with it 2 hours smile.gif
I take off the "white box" from the speedmeter and... nothing bad happend. Everything is working now smile.gif
