Flywheel And Pressure Plate Torque Specs?

18 July 2011 - 06:28 PM

Could one of you guys tell me the torque specs for the flywheel and pressure plate of an 86 crx? I have been looking all over the internet and I can't find the right specs for my car so I figured someone here would probably know. Thanks!

This Stuff Is Amazing!

04 January 2011 - 03:43 PM

so i was gonna put this in the off topic but it seems to be very on topic for anyone with an older car. So, I got two rolls of this Deluth X-treme tape for christmas this year and was skeptical to say the least. But this stuff is amazing! As someone who has sat on the road waiting for a ride to the auto store to get a new rad hose that blew more times than i can count, it is the best temporary(or permanent if you don't mind how it looks) fix. It's this tape that has no adhesive on it, it only sticks to itself, it works up to 500 degrees, underwater, insulates to 8000 volts... it's sooo cool. Since christmas I have already used half a roll and the other roll is always in my rex as a 'just in case'. I don't mean to sound like an infomercial or anything I just thought everyone should know about this stuff. I have used so many brands of muffler tape and repair kits and most of them take forever to put on and only last about ten minutes but I have yet to melt any of this. Haha, I see it now, give it six months and my entire car will be one big indestructible ball of tape lol jk ph34r.gif

Stripped O2 Sensor Housing

03 January 2011 - 03:55 PM

Hey guys, I know I haven't been on here lately, after about 8 months I finally seem to have internet again(I just moved and as long as the neighbor doesn't lock me out of his wireless connect, lol) and I could really use some input. I replaced my O2 sensor about a year and a half ago without any real problems until after about 6 months it fell out, hit the road and cracked...grr. So, I went and bought another one, put it in with some lock tight(blue) and it held up for about 2 days before that one fell out, luckily I kept the wires short enough on this one that it doesn't hit the concrete and break. Using the lock tight method I can only seem to keep it in the housing for a couple days, tops, before it falls out again. Sometimes I have to put it in a few times a day because it keeps falling out. I'm getting really tired of burning myself on a hot manifold and my car running like crap everytime it falls out. The housing is completely stripped out and I'm not sure of the best fix. I was thinking maybe a helicoil but I really don't wanna go that route. I was also thinking about tack welding it in but I know that is going to be a pain to get it back out. It's a pretty new sensor so it shouldn't need to come out to be replaced anytime soon but with my luck it will go bad as soon as I tack it, lol. Has anyone else had this problem at all and have a good fix? Thanks!
