Keep the EW2. I would build it into a single cam screamer for less than a grand. Plus, no need to switch to fuel injection.

I can give you all the info you need if you want.

Well, the only set of bike carbs I have left is for a future project, but you can find them hella cheap on ebay; like under $20. It really takes a lot of personal opinions to think of what you'd want to run, but here are some ideas to start with:

-Weber 32/34 downdraft carb, like 3gencivic is using.
-Stage 2 cam regrind.
-D16A1 pistons (0.04" overbore) <-- these would require about $400 in parts and labour at a machine shop, and even more if you want them to put it back together for you.
-MSD 6AL ignition box.
-ARP rod bolts.
-Si transmission.
-CenterForce or ACT clutch.
-Header and full 2" exhaust.
-Find a set of light-weight wheels (with a spare set of 2 with slicks on them for racing).

...There is just too much to list. You wanna keep it cheap but effective at the same time. So do things right, and make a thorough plan for what all you want.

Dont you have the EW1? If you have perfect or close to perfect compression you could stick a SI or dx carb in there and convert to FI OR use bike carbs. you need to hit me up since im also in houston with a good, complete SI head and cam that i might consider trading...or I could just help you out with whatever
